This course explores the dynamic relationship between tourism, recreational activities, and the natural environment. It provides students with an understanding of how tourism and recreation impact the environment and how effective management practices can promote sustainability and conservation. Topics include principles of sustainable tourism, environmental ethics, policy and planning, natural resource management, and eco-tourism development. Students will examine case studies, engage in fieldwork, and learn strategies to balance economic development with environmental stewardship. The course prepares learners to develop responsible tourism policies, manage natural and recreational resources, and address environmental challenges in the tourism sector.
