
Course Description
Accommodation Operations provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the key functions, procedures, and management practices involved in running lodging establishments. The course examines the organization, standards, and daily operations of the accommodation sector, with a focus on both front-of-house and housekeeping departments. Students will explore essential topics such as guest services, reservations, check-in and check-out procedures, room management, cleaning and maintenance standards, safety and security protocols, and the use of property management systems (PMS).
Through a combination of lectures, simulations, and practical exercises, students will develop hands-on skills in delivering quality service, maintaining operational efficiency, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Emphasis is placed on teamwork, communication, and problem-solving within the context of daily hotel operations. The course also explores sustainability practices and emerging technologies that are transforming the accommodation industry.
