This course provides student teachers with the opportunity to apply the pedagogical knowledge, subject content, and professional skills acquired throughout their programme in authentic classroom settings. Through supervised teaching practice, students gain practical experience, enhance their instructional competence, and prepare for professional careers as secondary school teachers of Mathematics and Physics.


Course Overview

The Teaching and School Practice course is a supervised professional field experience designed to bridge theory and practice. Students are placed in approved secondary schools where they participate fully in teaching, lesson planning, learner assessment, classroom management, school administration, and co-curricular activities.

The course emphasizes learner-centered pedagogy, competency-based teaching, effective communication, classroom management, professional ethics, reflective practice, and the integration of educational technology into Mathematics and Physics instruction.

Throughout the teaching practice period, students receive guidance from university supervisors and mentor teachers, who evaluate their professional growth and teaching effectiveness.
